Pre-K to 4th graders will be honored during awards ceremonies on May 8th. Specific times for each grade level will be sent home.
School will be closed on Friday, April 14 in observance of Good Friday. Students will return to school on Monday, April 17th for a 60% day. Students will be dismissed early on Monday, April 17th. Parent Teacher Conferences will be conducted Monday afternoon, April 17th. More information will be sent home with the students.
Ms. Kimberly Gardner was chosen Columbus Municipal School District Administrator of the Year. Ms. Gardner is the principal of the #1 ranked school in CMSD, Stokes-Beard Technology and Communications School. Ms. Gardner was recognized in Jackson for CMSD Administrator of the year.
Stokes-Beard will host a sweetheart school dance fundraiser for students in grades Pre-k to 5th. The cost of this fundraiser event is $5. More information will be sent home soon.
McKellar Vocational Students will highlight career choices at Stokes-Beard Career Fair. The career fair will start at 8:50 am and conclude at 11:45 am.
Stokes-Beard will kick-off the annual Realy For Life Drive. Students may wear jeans and uniform tops on every Thursday in February for $1 donation each Thursday. All monies will go to Relay For Life American Cancer Society Fundraising Event. The dates students may wear jeans for $1 are Feb. 2, 9, 16, and 23.
Stokes-Beard will honor students school-wide with a Growth Celebration Event. Students in grades Pre-K to 2nd will enjoy a movie and refreshments in the Stokes-Beard Theater. Students in grades 3rd-5th will enjoy a Skate Zone outing.
Stokes-Beard received an accountability rating of “B” for the 2015-2016 school year. Stokes-Beard received the highest rating among schools in the Columbus Municipal School District.
After School Tutoring resumes on January 9, 2017 for the current after school students.
